ideal elan seal

ihave a:

Ideal boiler
Elan 2 50 F
GC No: 4141572
17 years old
but the gasboard have failled it because it needs a new case seal(part number130871) he says i need a new boiler unless i can get a genuine ideal elan seal, cant find any online, any help, thanks jingles

If my memory serves me right the elan is a positive fanned flue so the case seal is vital. That part is no longer available (by reasonable sources ie an old retired plumber may have one in his toolbox which is unreasonable) so the only option is to change the boiler

Have a read at this one, another person in the same situation... bite the bulit and get a new appliance.
