Hi All
I have an Ideal Elan2 which was left idle for about 5 weeks whilst I was on holiday. On returning, I can't seem to light the pilot. When I press the piezo ignition button, (if) it lights the pilot, the flame is very small, almost invisible and as soon as I release the Gas Control Valve Knob, the pilot light goes out. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Pilot assembly probably needs a clean. It will require gas connections to be broken so it may not be something you'd want to do yourself.

OK, pro called, news bad, boiler leaking, maybe years, condemned now, new required, £1960 installed, ouch.
