Can anyone help me with this? My boiler pressure is currently staying at around 3 and has been pouring water from the outside pipe, I’ve bled the radiators and also drained some water from the radiator which hasn’t reduced the pressure.

Are the valves open/closed as they should be? Can anyone tell me the correct way for them to be?

Fill loop valve looks partially open, needs to be 90 degrees to the pipe (fully horizontal). There's often one on the other end of the flexi too, make sure that's shut.

Somewhere there will be an expansion vessel, not a plumber, so don't know where, this has a diaphragm with gas one side, and water the other, often a tyre valve to pump it up, if either the gas has leaked out, or the diaphragm has ruptured, then each time the boiler warms up it will eject water, and then latter need topping up.

I think the filling loop should not remain in place, once filled it is normally removed so central heating water can't get into the domestic potable water supply, but then it gets lost, so can see why it is left in place. But should be a tap either side so both would need to be passing for the pressure to go up.

Could also be a pinholed plate heat exchanger

@jessicaba - does the pressure stay up there all the time or do you have to top up the central heating all the time and it just rises that high only when the central heating is on?

If the pressure stays like that all the time then the filling loop valve, as marked on the pic, could be slightly open.

@Madrab It’s a bit hit and miss to be honest, mostly it’s ok and between 1-1.5, on the odd occasions I’ve had to top up the pressure but not regularly. It’s recently the last few days that the pressure has been 3 or above and has been leaking out the pipe at the outside of the house. Yes I’m in rented accommodation.

As suggested - contact your landlord, it's their responsibility to ensure everything is ok, hopefully you have a good relationship with them? Chances are it may be that black tap that's sitting slightly open but if you've moved it to the off position (right angle to the valve) and the pressure is still too high , if you bled some off, then time for a visit from your landlords CH resource.
Do you have an up to date copy of the Landlords Gas Safety Certificate? If so it should be dated within the last year. You are entitled to a copy of that certificate. The issue you are seeing is probably an inspection/service item and should be easily sorted by a quick visit from your landlords CH engineer.

Does the landlord know you have to top up the pressure now and again? If not then best to tell them.
