I have an Ideal Classic Boiler and a Megaflow Water Heating System with expansion tank. Yesterday morning I found out that an upstairs radiator had leaked water through the floor and into my downstairs loo.

My dad tightened up the radiator and found several of the radiators appeared to have air trapped in them. He bled them all but a couple seemed to have meither air nor water coming out and still were not heating up properly. I tried a few radiators later that evening and got a few to bled air.

My brother in law popped in and thought the water pressure might be low as I had lost water from the dodgy radiator the day before. He topped it up but the only pressure guage we could see was reading zero and stayed that way (it's sitting above the expansion tank).

I managed to get more air out of the system from a couple of radiators but now I have no hot water. Does anyone know anything about these megaflow systems and can they help me? The CH seems fine now and the timer lights are on for the water and the megaflow is making some noises - but no hot water.

Please help.

I know everything about megaflows!

Unfortunately I dont think the problem with the cylinder itself but the heating flow to it.

Its very difficult for me to suggest anything to you without seeing the system but perhaps its an air lock and any venting points near the cylinder heating coil would be prime suspects!
