Ideal Icos HE15 problem

I have an Ideal Icos HE15 standard boiler. Hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. So the boiler just comes on when the timer and thermostat of either the room thermostat or water cylinder thermostat require heat.

However, today, neither of the heating or water were on at the programmer box but the boiler started up and displayed a P in the LED display.

It normally just shows an O when it is off or a c when it is on.

The pump in the airing cupboard did not come on either as neither the heating nor hot water was switched on at the programmer.

I am totally baffled as to why the boiler would come on and what P means.

Can anyone help me please.

because the post wasnt right, I hadnt read your post properly, now that I have, it could be the automatic pump spin , your boiler is programmed to spin the pump every 24 hours , as I cant find the fault code in the instructions this seems likely, is your boiler operating normally now?

No such thing as a code coming up with his pump overrun as it's a heat only and disnae have a pump???

never heard of a p though in the display. Nothing else not flashing or alternating??
Will check tomorrow.

Now resolved. The jumpers on the PCB were in the wrong place. Now set to 1,2,3.
