Ideal Isar H24 Burner Flashing

Hi, I have an Ideal Isar H24 combi boiler, I have recently had a new diverter valve fitted that had been leaking, my problem now is that when I set the room thermostat to 20, the boiler displays c and the burner kicks in as it should but before it reaches the requested temperature the display still shows c but the burner led just flashes, if I turn the boiler off and then back on again the burner kicks in again and get to the required temperature, the only thing that has been altered since having the diverter valve fitted is the cold water intake, the engineer turned it down slightly, any ideas, thanks.

Is your heating thermostat on the boiler set high enough? It could indicate an internal fault developing also.
