Hi all, looking for some advice.

Ideal Logic Combi 30 boiler.

About 10yo, was properly serviced and had few things replaced - worked fine for a couple of weeks.
It recently showed a return thermistor fault, then said pressure too low even though pressure was 1.5+. Also had little water dripping underneath on two occasions.

No errors now, but is not firing because it thinks radiators are 100 degrees already (blue light comes on on start so I assume ignition itself is fine). No hot water either.

Return thermistor was replaced twice (genuine Ideal 176432).
Multimeter reads about 17.5kΩ at 13°C on both, although I am not confident it was measured properly.
When thermistor is disconnected the boiler shows return thermistor fault, as expected, so wiring is fine ?
Contacts look fine, no signs of PCB damage.

Had several plumbers look at it and all come up with different things, but mostly want to sell us new boiler replacement and are not really into fixing this one.

Any ideas what can be checked next so we ask plumbers to verify specific things, we are not really in the position to replace it now.

Thanks

That would be about £360, right ? For something that could be a £10 part replacement or contacts cleaning.

I don't know how much they charge or how much parts cost without looking it up. We/You don't know it's a £10 part or contacts
