Hello again,

I did this post not long ago (https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/which-hive-thermostat-do-i-need.651600/page-1) where I set up an hive in my mum's house.

I've brought one for my brother, went round other weekend and I can't work out how to connect it to his.

Told him to list the job on a site to get quotes, but just want to check first if they is away to set it up.

The first two photos is the thermostat that I believe was a Danfoss TP5000Si Wired 5/2 Day Programmable Thermostat or similar.

The last photo is the wiring in the boiler.

I could be completely wrong here, but the fact is is only 1 5 core cable says to me, it's going from boiler too main wall switch then straight from there to hallway. However what confused me the most is they is a blue cable in the boiler but not in the hallway.

So is it possible to wire it up with the current setup or is it one of them jobs that would need looking at and sorting by a professional?

Thanks.

Only DIY people can really answer, as an electrician I see no problem.

I suspect there is a junction box somewhere, this is common, where there was previous central heating which also heated stored DHW and the old wiring has been used.
