Hi Guys,

I'd apprecite any ideas please. My CH had been running for a couple of hours when it suddenly stopped. I get no indication at all on the control panel (not even O). With the timer set on and the room stat high, the motor valves function and the pump comes on, but nothing from the boiler. I have power at the on off switch and have replaced the user control pcb but still no joy. I am reluctant to buy a new main control unit in case it is something else. My heating engineer is as baffled as me.
The strange thing is that the users guide states "If O not displayed then not a boiler fault".
Any clues please?

pcb, common fault............do a search for " ideal icos dead display" and the world will become a clearer place....

yes...sorry to tell you, your boiler is just an ideal icos sitting on the floor. I prefer it to the icos though as there is more room to rip out all the faulty cr*p thats inside.
