Ideas for protecting drain pipe from parking mishaps?

We have gutter drainage pipe running down the front of our house, draining onto the driveway. From time to time it gets hit by cars parking on the drive - the drive is quite small, and if any wheels are left on the pavement the driver may be ticketed. When it gets hit it usually dislodges the connection with the gutter (at the top of the house), so I want to install something to protect the downpipe from parking cars.

The pipe protrudes roughly 8.5cm from the wall. I also need to find something to raise it slightly.

Does anyone have any ideas for something which can be used to shield the downpipe from cars which may bump into it?

Could the pipe be diverted, around the corner, and well out of the way?

No - we discussed this with the guy who installed it, and there was no good alternative location for it

Maybe add a photo of where it attaches to the gutter, for a second opinion on that, but...

Looks like it, I can see an open shoe at the bottom.
I think the fitter is being lazy I reckon it could easily be turned around the corner but I would fix some sort of rubber in its place seeing as you use your bumper as a parking aid

You could easily divert that pipe up high to come around the corner and down, or even at waist height. You’d gain 4”
You could make /find a metal bracket to protect the pipe physically but potentially damage the car/ lose space.

You could stick a 1M bendy rod in the ground in front of the pipe asa visual reminder
Same rod but have a small hoop that it goes through (both metallic) so that if hit it completes a circuit.
Loud buzzer/light at window height connected to buzzer

Screw an L bracket to the wall, length of string and tennis ball hanging.

45 + 90 + a 45 degree bends, will get the pipe around that corner, at high level. Or maybe extend the hopper out a bit, and use 2x 45 degree.

Here are other views of the site. It can't be diverted round the corner as it would then drain onto a flat alleyway which is already prone to pooling of rainwater. I really want a robust shield which, if driven into, will do more damage to the bumper than the gutter!

I agree, now we can see that around that corner, is the garage door opening.

Can you manage some more photos, from even further back, including the rest of that gutter, to the left?

Would there be any value, in moving that fall pipe around the corner, on the left, so it discharges around that corner, but digging out a bed of concrete, to form a channel to get it around the corner, to where it presently discharges?

Could you clarify, where it is presently discharging? It looks as if it is just discharging onto the ground, or the gully is completely blocked up.

I suppose you will be aware, that the second 45 down from the gutter hopper, is disconnected, and so not doing very much?

Just lay some blocks around the base of the pipe, raised off the ground for the water to drain
