Identifier Alarm

Hi Folks

can anyone help??? i have an Identifier alarm, its an old one & i dont have the Code or Manual for the alarm. what i want to know is is there anyway i can reset the code? i had an electrician look at it and he taught it was only a matter of taking off the cover & taking out a chip and putting it back in but there is no chip and each time we turn it on after a Min or so it arms itself 7 asks for the code... any help apr...
