Identify This

Hiya,

Now asked in the Combustion Chamber and not identified so asking here.
I was hoping someone can identify this below.

Found it in the reuser shop near our local tip.

think its an old style neon bulb but inside is a red coloured fluid.

Tempted to put 240v through it but wanted some input just in case.

Looks old and possibly radioactive as they used to in them days.

If you look close there is no element within but the 2 ends without liquid are connected by a tube of glass.

Many were filled with flourescent materials ( phosphers ) to create colours that could not be created by ionised gas(s).

Some of the flourescent materials used in older tubes are toxic and hence care should taken as breaking the tube could create a toxic hazard.

No danger in giving into temptation.

Nor any point - it's nowhere near enough to make it work.

Got a microwave oven you can cannibalise? There will be something inside which will provide enough danger.
