If you put the loonies on ignore, threads appear tidier and you can follow conversations better. Somebody like Himmy will always steer the subject onto anti-racism, causing other people to react, until eventually the original topic is lost. If enough good people ignore enough lunatics we can have intelligent and enlightening discussions, and we can go beyond state-approved opinions.

How true is that. Sometimes I actually have to go to the thread title to see what thread I am actually on. The loonies will always bring Trump, Farage and \Brexit into any thread to the point you get confused.

I just scroll past the posters I don’t want to read. And if one starts a thread I’ll do my best to avoid it.

But in the past I have popped people on ignore and I agree, the threads read a lot better

Some on here just do not deserve a reply, rather than engage with them I just ignore them and don't reply. Some take this forum way over the top and think it is a platform for their nutjob views and we all must agree or they continue the barage of abuse towards you. I simply laugh at these.
