Hi all,

I have a glowwrom heat only boiler and a standalone immersion heated water tank. Unfortunately our hot water is running cold so I checked and replaced the thermostat, then I replaced the 11 inch immersion heater element but still no joy. The isolator box has a neon light which comes on and off from time to time however the cable to the immersion heater box feels hot, is this right or could this be the reason?

The fact that there is a neon light appearing suggests that the isolator is working but it could be a faulty cable? Does this make sense and could that be the Solution?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

You need to be testing the supply voltage, this test should be by use of an approved voltage indicator, which has two probes and offers a numeric value.
As so check that the heating element is set and the thermostat temperature is set.
