Immersion Hi Limit Stat

The Hi Limit Stat on this is open circuit and apparently is non resettable?, I'm told its screwed into the immersion element, can it be removed without draining down. Apoligies for bad photo.

You can get the 7" thermostat with or without a reset

one shown has a reset, if the immersion heater is the only way to heat the DHW then better without the reset, however if there is an alternative method to heat the water, then better with a reset, as the other method could cause it to trip.
 
If you’re on about the blue plastic part, then yes it should be ok as it doesn’t make contact with the water

No, the blue (Backer) is the control stat, I'm talking about the HI limit stat (with white wires) which apparently is screwed down into the immersion element.
