It was my cat Blackie's birthday around now.

Just been thinking what a great cat he was and am missing him terribly.

To all the others on here in a similar position: here's to our great lost pets!

I feel exactly the same about our last 3 cats who are no longer with us. I know that as a bloke I'm not supposed to care about these things, but every pet, whatever animal it is, has a character of their own.
When they are taken from us, you don't really forget them, or your loss.

Just be thankful for the time you enjoyed their company, and the fact that you gave them a great home that many other animals don't get. And if other people don't understand, who cares?

Each time we lose one of our cats, we say 'never again', as its hard to say goodbye. But we always get another rescue cat in the end. There's loads out there that need a second chance, like our present one 'Harry', who's hobbies are eating, eating and sleeping. His previous owners moved and left him behind.

Just remember, you did your best for them.

You never stop missing them, lost my German Shepherd 4 years ago to a spinal condition.

John to his local priest.
Father i would like to have a mass said for my loving dog who just died.
The priest replied ,we can't do that we can only say masses for people, but if you go down the road to the protesant church they might help you.

Ok said John, do you think 2000pounds will be enough?
Wait a minute said the priest, you didn't tell me your dog was catholic.
