Inbetween tonne bags of MOT

I will need approx 2.3 tonne of MOT type 1 for my patio base

Should I order 3 tonne or order 2 tonne and use more sharp sand as mortar bed?

If you are ordering bulk bags, 2.3 tonne is 3 bags pretty much -they tend to be 750kg to 850kg

bear in mind you get less volume in the winter as the material can be be very wet
