Looking for some information on the above.

Do these heating elements work at lower rate than standard? The old heating element used to make the kettle boiling sound as it was heating the water but this one doesn't seem to make any noise at all.

I have a 140l tank and the element is 11 inches long, same length as the one replaced but could it be too small?

Tks

It's the scale on the old heater which would have made it sing.

I know they say the btter alloy is to resist corrosion from hard water but that never made sense to me - soft water is more aggressive! (acidic)

Thanks as usual!

(Looks like the one I took back was probably working after all. I suppose I was a little impatient expecting a 140l tank to be warmed up in half an hour).

Cheers.

Incalloy elements are far superior - why does anyone still fit copper ones, when incalloy will last much longer in all water types?

The cost difference is only three pounds more!
