Indesit DI 62 smoking

Hi,
We have just moved into a house with the above mentioned dish washer.
When I put it on it made some noises for about 10 minutes and then I heard it drop the tablet into the machine. I was worried there wasn't any water in it so I opened the door to check. It was bone dry and the heating element was smoking badly.
The water supply is turned on so does anyone know what could be wrong?

OK next problem!
How do I get the machine out? It is 'in built'.
I have undone the 2 screws at the top but it still won't budge!
Any ideas?

Look down the side on the tub frame. There might be 2 white caps with screws in , 1 either side. Then should pull forward if your floor is tiled to the back and not up to the dishwasher.

No screws on the side. I can see the holes but no screws. Do I need to take the kick board off?
