My 1 Year old Indesit DV62 recently stopped working, that is to say, water gets in but is not pumped around. on inspection, it seems like the circulation pump has died. From my very limited knowledge on this subject, it looks like there is an emergency anti-flood drain switch which is operated by a piece of polystyrene when water enters the bottom. This is at the same level as the pump :( . The pump has some limescale on it which would indicate to me that there is constant flooding in this area. so finally on to the point, is it worth replacing the pump or is there another problem to fix first??
