Indesit w123 stopped dead

My indesit W123 started making a crackling noise behind the control panel. When it started taking in water for a rinse cycle it stopped dead and hasn't moved since. It won't drain, it won't spin and its not taking in any water. Lights at front working as normal. Any ideas??????

no idea, but if you put the grey hose in a bucket or bowl the water will run out under gravity

crackling sound is usually symptom of electrical connection breaking down.There is a possibility that it maybe water has splashed over to an electrical contact if it has happened when machine was taking in water.If this has happened to the pcb it usually means a complete replacement board rather than repairing the same.

Are you sure the crackling noise was from the control panel?
The symptoms you describe are normally caused by the carbon brushes in the motor.
