Indesit W133S Washing Machine has stopped spinning?

Hi there, my Indesit W133S front loader tub washing machine has stopped spinning, it made a funny metallic scratching sound mid cycle and then wouldnt spin. When I removed the washing even the empty drum wouldnt spin manually. Can you help?

Check the motor brushes for wear, also check the belt is still attached.

Check the belt at the rear has not slipped off and jammed the drum first.

The sound is possible more like something caught between the drums or the bearings and or drum support failing.
