My machine has stoppd spinning for some reason and we have tried emptying the filter, it span fine, so put it on for a wash cycle (as it hadnt finished the previous one) and it wouldnt spin again. Its flashing the code 5 long flashes long pause then 5 long flashes - does that give anyone any ideas ?

Your pump is blocked. Pull out applaince, tilt it back, remove kick plate, remove pump filter and check for blockages.
