Even with the rotary switch to off. The top left green LED with a wash symbol next to it is flashing. If I press the red top right button (Start/pause) the wash cycle starts.
Seems to right itself for a day now it's done it again.
7 months Currys guarantee left. so I'll ring them tomorrow.
Does anyone have an idea as to what's wrong.

What can happen with this appliance is the board is faulty behind the display and it is constantly stuck on a program. It sounds like you need a new module.

And to think I bought Indesit because it was (I thought) a decent make
