machine starts, then stops and knob clicking around continously, also one light flashing 8 times between before gap then same again. I know it stsate rocky1 has posted codes,but some seem to be for other machines...... HELP can anyone tell me waht the 8 x flashingmean.....

heater relay on the pcb you need a new pcb. emw do recons for 40 quid test it for a fiver .

Indesit, Ariston and some Hotpoint & Creda Washers and Dishwashers

no of flashes
1=short circuit triac
2=motor jammed check plugs
3=ntc open/short circuit
4=p/switch jammed on empty
5=p/switch jammed on full
6=prog selector managment error
7=heater relay stuck
8=heater relay cant be activated(common on new boards try tapping relays)
9=inompatable eprom
10=pswitch not sensing correctly
11=pump cant be activated
no 12
13=dryer fan does not work dryer ntc faulty
14=dryer ellement
15=dryer ellemnt not working dryer relay on pcb probable

where will I find the pcb please to get serial number off it?????

pcb is at the back of the mc, remove rear panel sno is on the door trim

took the pcb out, tested it and managed to get the relays clicking in..
refitted and tried....thought everything was working fine until the spin would not go off, even when at the stop position. turnes mc off, put tp stop position.. turned back on and spinning like a windmill in a hurricane, the missus decided enough was enough.....new machine bought and fitted, and already with second wash...
(the old one was starting to make hell of a racket, not from drum, aint got a clue where from, no need to worry now tho...)
