Have old gravity Heating system, old Potterton (32 ys, in good shape), HWC and small and large water tank in loft above. May need to change HWC as F&E tank has overflow, suspected hole in coil.
Happy to get new HWC, vented/indirect again, but would like to know if this like for like change will be compatible if boiler gives up ghost.
Then I would switch to pumped system, install boiler like Worcester Bosch Greenstar 27i or similar, with soakaway (as boiler in small shed lean to on side of house).
Would the new HWC be compatible with such a set up? Don't want to install new HWC and do it again if boilder needs replacement.
