inlet test screws

hello,
we ve all had that that dreaded broken gas meter test nipple scenario. still waiting for the day when im testing the inlet pressure to the boiler and test screw breaks and customer wants me to pay for new valve. is there s generic set of inlet screws available out there and has this ever happened to anyone? cheers

You can get the screws on their own off some manufacturers, which are only any good if you can get the stub out of the gas valve. Look a right **** though when you turn up to do a service it all working, you check inlet working pressure and snap there goes the heating and hot water, im hoping i never have to have that conversation again

could always just say gas valve leaking gas from nipple saves any hassle. customer will always demand you pay for it so easy way out!!
