Hi,
I have recently been helping doing up a flat.
In the toilet, there is a vent, which has a centrifugal fan. The pipe is 4".
The flat is on the ground floor, and behind the fan the pipe curves upwards, and goes horizontally upwards. It seems that it also services the fans in the other 3 flats.
The issue is that the woman upstairs smokes, and when her fan is on, there is a draught, noise and smoke smell in our toilet.
The fan is a new Manrose CF200H fan, and does have a non-return vent, but its not very effective.
Do I need to get a stronger non-return vent to fit in the pipe? I've seen lots available that attach to the end of the pipe, but I need one that I can fully insert into an existing pipe.
Any ideas?
Thanks
