inspection costs?

Hi,
Could anyone tell me a rough idea of how much it would cost me to have a garage tested?
I want to put in new lighting and power circuits as the old ones are held together by tape (but legal cos they're old, go figure) and dangerous.
Quite happy to do it myself having done it before and got it tested and signed off by friendly sparky. However moved areas and don't know anyone local.

It doesn't work like that. You want it tested and certified? then the sparky does the work.

You want a report on an existing installation? Then a decent electrician with Test and Inspection qualification can do a REPORT.
