Install Celect Thermostat to Worcester 24CDi

I've got a Worcester 24CDi combi boiler which currently has no thermostat or timer. The boiler is discontinued with literature here

I have purchased the Celect thermostat off eBay as it was said to work with Worcester boilers. I've been a little naive/stupid and took the sellers word for it and didn't think that Worcester may have actually changed the circuitry on their boilers. The literature only shows how to connect a Worcester therm which involves attaching something to the circuit board.

Anyway, on the boiler I have one dial which turns the central heating on and off. I want this to be controlled by a timer so that I can come home to a warm house. Now as far as I'm concerned I need to intercept the signal from this dial, take it via the thermostat switch which then controls the heating. I just can't find any circuitry instructions to do this.

I'm not a dunce around the house and can actually do some DIY so I'd like to do this myself.

Any help greatly appreciated.
