Hi,
Is it possible to install expanding foam cavity wall insulation yourself?
I have a stone wall house with a cavity. Generally the standard (blown fibre) insulation isn't suitable for stone houses and expanding foam is an alternative that does suit stone buildings. However the expanding foam type is really expensive - there don't seem to be any grants available and it costs a few thousand to get it done.
Just wondered if anyone has ever heard of anyone installing expanding foam insulation for themselves and if so where the materials can be purchased?

Poly beads will usually work with stone walling. You should be able to get a grant for that.
