I wish to put some inhibitor in my radiators via the bleed hole, but the bleed screws are of a small diameter ( about 5mm ) and face the wall so limited space in which to fiddle about with makeshift filling devices.
A friend tells me that a plastic "pipe kit" is available which screws onto the 1 litre inhibitor bottle and at the other end of the plasic tube is a fitting to take several sizes of unions which are supplied, to fit most bleed screw sizes.
Anybody know of this and if so where they can be obtained.( been to several plumbing merchants and looked on net ,but no success).

Thank you

Er no!, the threaded hole (female part ) is welded to the rad. body-- so only the bleed screw can be removed.

Water treatment specialist Sentinel has launched Sentinel Rapid-Dose.

It comes in a recyclable, pressurised canister pre-filled with Sentinel chemical water treatment — initially the familiar X100 central heating inhibitor and protector, X200 noise reducer, X400 system sludge remover and cleaner and Leak Sealer that can be used to dose any indirect central heating system.

Rapid-Dose’s system is designed to make the addition of water treatment chemicals quick and easy, soon restoring system efficiency to older systems and maintaining the efficiency of new ones. The contents of a canister are under pressure — the propellant is simply compressed air — and is discharged in, on average, around thirty seconds. One 400ml can is sufficient to dose a normal domestic heating system. There is no need to draw off water, release system pressure (unless the system is at above 2.3 bar) or wait for the system to cool.

Application of Rapid-Dose requires a connector kit: either a filling loop adaptor, a radiator dosing point kit or a vent pin adaptor set. Also available is a universal dosing tool kit that includes all these individual options.

Sentinel’s John Lynch says this is ‘the’ answer for installers looking for a quick and simple answer to chemical water treatment in domestic heating systems:

"Sentinel Rapid-Dose offers all the benefits that installers have been asking us for and it provides them with a simple, clean and very quick solution. In pre-launch tests it’s ticked all the boxes."
