once agin guys i need some help fitting this shower cubicle...but firstly lets start off on the tray.......i bought this shower via a well known auction site, although its brand new, there were no instructions....its a heritage shower enclosure.....anyway where do these parts go ? and also shoudnt there be a sealing ring or do you add some silicone sealant on the white plastic ring that fits over the hole in the tray...see pic below of (trap)

ok...is it wood?....i dont think so, it feels about 3/4 inch think, apart from near the waste where its much thinner...it seems to be some type of bundled fibre that is knitted together, like a hard resin , like fibreglass......as for the little baby, i think that might be a centre support, but how can you screw that into the centre, it will leal and make a hole......still not to sure about the X arrangement, where exactly do you screw those pieces, into the side wooden parts or across the centre of the tray, can you do me a better diagram..please

oh..it does come with some plastic skirting.....a curved section.

Carefully cut away the fibreglass and you should see the wood. Just find the correct lenght of screws (and carefully pilot drill to start them off)

i know i havnt got any instructions but even if i did had them, im pretty sure it wouldnt have suggested that...doesnt seem like a good idea to me..srely this will waken the tray...think ill take the tray and fixings to my local bathroom specialists....im sure they tell me how to fix it together...thanks for the advice guys...

Would'nt pilot holes, sure to go through

Wood screws won't need pilot hole. IMO.

thnks clf-gas....it makes it a lot clearer now.......i will try it in the morning...thanks once again.....appreciated ;) .......no doubt ill be posting later about the doors that i have to fix to this shower...lol

ps..there are some screws that came with the tray, i think they are the correct type and will use those..

I did say carefully pilot drill. Otherwise you risk excerting a high force at the base of the screw hole and blowing out the fibreglass on the wet side.
