Installing A Composite Back Door Advice

Hi all

Just been installing a back door from Rockdoor - its in place just not fitted yet.

Weve got the brickwork ready under the sill and put the sill in place making sure everything is perfectly level

Then theres a bit in the install instructions regarding placing a 5mm packer between the brick and sill

We did the front door a few years back and didnt really get it then - whats that 5mm packer for and is it needed as it put things out of level in my eye

Ignore it,I always make them level on cill and hinge side and check the inside site lines(gap around the slab). If it’s all perfect fix it,if it’s looking low or high adjust the hinge side to suit
