installing a socket where a switch exists

Ok, right forum for all the socialists out there who don't allow do it yourself electrical repairs.

I have a light switch in a closet. I want an electrical outlet in that closet. Which instructions should I be looking at to do this?

you can not do it with out rewiring to the outlet, but as you are in America,(we are in the UK) i suggest you get a 2nd opinion from here
