Installing a Stone Resin Shower Tray on Wooden Floor Boards

I’ve had to replace more stone resin trays recently that have cracked being on a mortar/cementitious bed that I have had using silicone. Hence why I primarily only use that now. The main trick though is a really solid, well supported sub floor, that’s absolutely key to a long lasting install.

Only ever use a Flexi tile adhesive with a polymer additive, that makes it super flexi, only with a concrete base when I can’t build a plinth.

It does make sense, the manufacturer was very clear on their reasoning. The 18mm marine ply on a bed of adhesive I've put down seems like concrete, can't see that flexing!
