installing an exta socket

Hello i have converted my garage into a dining room and i need to install an extra socket.The main fuse box is about six feet away can i run one wire to the main fuse box from the socket or do i need to loop the wire using two wires. Thanks

One cable is sufficient which is called a radial circuit. Running cables back to the CU from the last socket is a ring circuit.

but, you can take an unfusd spur to one single or double socket. the spur can be taken from an existing socket on the ring, or from the origin at the CU (though this second method is less common)
