installing an external heatmiser PRT thermostat

Please help.
I have a Baxi combi boiler in the attic and want to add an external programmable thermostat downstairs.

At the moment the Optional Integral Timer is installed. Can I simply unplug the built in timer and wire in the heatmiser thermostat to these four terminals? I have tested this and it seems to work fine.
