Installing channel drainage on patio.

You're right, neither have I come to think of it. I picked up a couple a year or so back for a plasterer to use as a quick step (he's a bit short) but they're not so common nowadays. You.s need to put a couple of bricks under each to make sure it doesn't sink, and a couple of extra layers of membrane on the top for support, but the idea should work.

Much obliged for all your help, Doggit.

Things are looking much better today after Sunday featured only sporadic light rain, and following a dry start to today.

With luck this will turn out to be a seasonal problem that only occurs after an unusually heavy degree of rain/ snow/ hail, but I definitely need to improve the drainage on the patio itself and make the soakaway more efficient, as you've pointed out.

Will revisit early in the NY and call for help if I need it!
