Hi,
We doing an extension and are getting wooden frames with double glazed glass. Due to time constraints a mate, who is a chippy is flitting the frames but doesn't have time to fit the glass.
I'm happy to do this but could somebody advise me on what I need and what the correct process is.
The frames are all wood with wooden beads on the exterior.
What's the best compound and do i needs anything else to secure the glass or is compound and the beads enough.

Cheers for any tips.

1. Put clear silicone round the 4 sides where the unit going
2. Put glass in, silicone may splerg out, either wipe it whiles it's wet or trim carefully with stanley blade next day.
3. Depending on size of beads can either screw them in, countersunk in then wood filler the holes before sanding back. Best option is to use little pin nails, use a toffee hammer, you may need to pre drill the beads if they are say hard wood.
4. Mitre the beads if required
5. Wipe that silicone now if required
6. Next day re silicone with small bead outside
