Hi,

We had milano aruba 50kg radiators installed on dot and dab plasterboard a few years back. We now wish to insulate internally by applying 25mm celotex
boards covered by plasteboard. My query is will the celotex bioared withstand the radiator pressing on the fixings and also assuming I can use the prevously inserted plugs which screws would be better to replace the existing screws?

Thanks

I would cut out sections of the existing plasterboard where the brackets are and fix battens to the wall to the depth of the celotex insulation. Plasterboard over so that the brackets fix through the plasterboard directly into battens

What is the actual wall made of, behind the plasterboard?

behind dot and dab it is grey block, 1984 build.

was thinking of cutting slot in celotex and add batten across. so i can then reuse existing holes and fixings beind said batten.

You won't be needing the old plasterboard, will you?
