Hi, i have just bought a house which me an my family have moved into. Problem is, its like the house that Jack built! Over the next year or so i will returning for professional help and advice for some of the small projects i have planned.

My 1st one is installing new radiators and pipes but not the boiler as it is only a year old. The old pipes and radiators are around 30 years old, the pipes are 10mm copper.

My question is, "Should i use plastic pipes or copper and what is the best way of installing?"

The old pipes are under the floor boards upstairs and along the skirting down.

My advice is to use 22/15 mm copper for a professional job which should not give any problems.

The correct tube sizes will have to be fitted though.
