hey when installing plastic heating pipes is it best to notch the joist or drill them and thread the pipe through this is on an old 1940's house not a new build. Thanks for any advice.

Drilling through the centre - that way you hopefully avoid future floorboard nails/screws and you do not weaken the joists
thanks how close can I bring the two holes next to each other? For two 22mm heating pipes?
