I am installing a warix flange to the top of the hot water cylinder and the outlet to the hot water is 28mm. On the warix flange the outlet to the hot water pipe is only 22mm.

Is it ok to run the outlet to the hot water 22mm from the top of the tank then up size to 28mm, as the pipe that runs down to the hot water is in 28mm???

Here is a pic showing the top of the tank where the warix flange is goingto be fitted.

Unless you have a large Hot Water system mate I'd not worry too much if you do all the tubes in 22mm, you'll need to alter the draw-off pipe & expansion pipe anyway. 28mm tube was used when a there was a low head, but nine times out of ten 22mm will do.

However, if you want to be pedantic, swop your Warrix for a Sussex flange, they have an 1" BSP draw-off connection.
