I'm thinking of getting the above hob which has one induction and 3 gas rings. According to the installation instructions, 2 brackets are screwed into the left and right sides of the cutout see here:

and the sides are then clipped into these brackets.
I'm having a quartz worktop and have been advised against screwing into these sides. Whirlpool customer service is pretty poor and could not comment on installing into stone worktops.
Is there a way of fixing these brackets without screwing - glueing perhaps?
the worktop is 30mm
This hob is a compromise as I don't have the required wiring to accomodate a 10kw induction hob plus 5kw oven and rewiring is too big a job
