Installling new pan

I have an 1890's property with an outside toilet I'd like to bring back into use....handy for the garden. The old pot/pan is long gone and the S bend is bust. How do I conect to the clay pot and are there any regs I need to be aware of ?

A standard plastic pan connector available at all good plumbers merchants should fit inside the clay pipe and self seal.
