I live in a 1950's house which does have a few damp issues upstairs in the bedrooms. Generally mold grows on the external walls in the corners and on the celling at the near this external wall. The celling slops down towards the external walls.

Before anyone talks about mold prevention, I have had trickle vents installed in all rooms, I also have been renting out the house recently and suspect the tennants didn't open the windows enough. I have also now repainted both the bedroom and used anti mould additive.

Anyway I went up into the loft and I am using my new thermal imaging gun.. I noticed that if I point the gun down the side of roof into the eves. I am seeing green areas on the camera. Which suggest to me that heat is escaping from inside the house.

The loft does have standard foam insulation and the walls did have the foam injected into them.
I am thinking I may need to install sold foam into the eves of the roof?
The roof doesn't have any lining currently.

Would installing it possibly help with damp issues?
I am also considering getting a Positive Input Ventilation system

You need to push rockwool onto the eves which will reduce cold spots, no evidence of foam in the photo which is good .
Trickle vents alone don’t provide enough ventilation , do tenants dry washing indoors, usual cause of damp in tenanted property. Are there extraction fans in kitchen and bathroom in regular use?

Ok, I will get some rockwool and push it into the eves as you suggested. Well I have moved back into the house for now. But it's not clear if they had been hanging washing inside. I do have a good extractor fan in the bathroom. The company that make that PIV system are doing a damp survey in a week so hopefully they will give me some more tips.

They will recommend you install their system .

Well yes I think I will cancel it and get an independent one ...I am thinking we also had wall insulation installed as part of the governments green deal back in 2014. I think it maybe causing issues as I can see there are gaps in the brick work and even two air vents in the external walls which we plastered over internally so my guess is when it rains the water is getting into the wall insulating leaving it wet and creating a musty smell .

Vents need to be clear .
