insulated plasterboard onto to current ceiling?

Hi all,

Can I screw insulated plasterboard directly to current ceiling?

I have an artex celling with a pitched roof immediately above. I would like to insulate and cover up the artex..... is overboarding with insulated plasterboard a sensible thing to do?

If so has anyone got recommendations on best value for money board or other tips (i am a bit of a novice!)
