Insulating a Solid Walled House with Insulated Plasterboard

Hi

Is it acceptable to use Kingspan K17 Insulated Plasterboard against an outside wall of a 1930's semi (in the living room, Hall and Bedrooms), with little or no cavity, for added insulation? Apparently this can be dot and dabbed directly onto a wall.

Also......

Is the Kingspan K17 version that much better than the British Gypsum Thermaline product?

Not that much difference in values between K17 and Thermaline.
It can be dot@n@dab but would be wise to have a second machinical fixing be means of nailable plugs
