Insulating sides of concrete slab

Hi All,

This might seem a silly question but when installing insulation for the sides of a new concrete floor, how far up the slab should the insulation go - level with the top of the slab, level with the top of the screed or somewhere else?

What is the floor make-up, ie insulation under or above the slab, screed or not etc etc?

50mm Screed
150mm concrete
DPM
150mm Jablite
Hardcore

You insulate the floor and screed or else you get a thermal bridge
